  • Key Points :

    • Pro-Vice Chancellor Ajay Bhamre's research papers are also of poor quality.

    • Bhamre, who is ineligible, has the blessings of Vice Chancellor Ravindra Kulkarni.

    • If the research quality is to be improved, it is inevitable that Bhamre should be removed from the post. Details:

Principal Bhamre, who is holding the position of Pro-Vice Chancellor, is not eligible for the post.

We have repeatedly brought to the attention of the Vice Chancellor that his research criteria (I-Index, Google Scholar, Scopus Index Papers) are not available even today.

Even though the Pro-Vice Chancellor is legally responsible for all research, Bhamre, who is ineligible and has no research credentials, has been appointed as the Pro-Vice Chancellor.

Due to our follow-up, paper of Dr. Bhamare’s PhD student is available on google scholar the title of the paper is "Impact of Corporate Governance on Employee Efficiency in the IT Sector with special reference to Mumbai City".

It has been published in the journal "IJISET - International Journal of Innovative Science, Engineering & Technology, Vol. 8 Issue 2, February 2021 ISSN (Online) 2348 – 7968 | Impact Factor (2020) – 6.72".

The information of the said journal should be accessed and it should be checked in which list of UGC CARE it is included. Looking at the findings and conclusions of the said paper, it is not difficult to understand its quality.

Vice Chancellor Ravindra Kulkarni is a quality researcher, so he himself should investigate whether this paper and the journal is in accordance with UGC rules and take action accordingly.

Looking at all this, one can imagine what kind of research is going on in Mumbai University.

Therefore, our request to Hon'ble Governor is to take action as per Maharashtra Public University Act in the appointment of Dr. Bhamare. We request Hon’ble Governor to direct Vice Chancellor to investigate the guidance given to PhD students so far by Dr. Bhamare and all the papers published. MUCTA General Secretary Subhash Athavale has demanded in case of discrepancy Bhamre's recognition as a PhD guide be cancelled.
