Objectives
1. To organize and unite teachers employed in Mumbai University and affiliated colleges, autonomous colleges, institutes or departments of institutions of post graduate whether employed directly or otherwise in the Mumbai University for the welfare of the Members.
2. To render help to teachers in matter arising out of / or incidental to their welfare and to represent them in various bodies and authorities.,
3. To generally take such other steps as may be necessary to ameliorate the social, economic, civil and other condition of the members.
4. To organize Seminars, Workshops, Shibir, Symposiums, Conferences etc for the teachers to ensure their training welfare and self improvement.
5. To utilize the energies, skills and imagination of teachers for the purpose of uniting the entire educational community for educational change, national reconstruction and social participation.
6. To endeavor to provide against sickness, infirmity, disability and old age.
7. To encourage and bring out congenial atmosphere on the campuses, which will encourage research and pervasive participation of teachers in all areas of education.
8. To coordinate and cooperate with other teachers and non teaching organizations in the country and abroad and encourage a spirit of brotherhood amongst them.
9. To receive donations, to establish and/or acquire movable and immovable properties within and outside of Mumbai University area.
10. To encourage study of educational issues within and outside the country and to participate within and outside the Mumbai University Area.
11. To organize educational related projects, exhibitions, lecture series, orientation courses etc.
12. To affiliate and join such other bodies or organizations which share same and similar objects of the Association.
13. To organize such other activities or programs for the welfare and settlement of educational community in general and teachers in particular.
14. To publish pamphlets, books, periodicals, circular etc . in order to propagate the objects and activities of the association.
